Partnership

Through efforts of Dr. Greg Welk and the Department of Kinesiology at Iowa State University, various mutually-beneficial initiatives and relationships have been developed between the communities of Iowa State and Story County.  A couple of those initiatives are listed below, and you can find out more about the work of Dr. Welk here.

Service Learning

Service Learning Info Request
The ISU Community Campus Partnership for Health (CCPH) is an outreach program focused on promoting health through community engagement. Students in the Community Health option are positioned to assist community agencies through applied (course-based) service opportunities. Click the button below to contact the CCPH team to learn how to sign up for support through this model. For additional information contact Dr. Greg Welk.

Asset Mapping Project

A service learning collaboration with Community Health students from the Department of Kinesiology at ISU provided support to SCQOL coalitions and to the Leadership Team. The students worked to provide resource links for each of the SCQOLA Collaborative Groups. The key resource was a set of integrated maps that provide direct links and information on various community health resources and centers. Click here to Access Asset Maps
