History

The Story County Quality of Life Alliance was established to help promote health and quality of life across Story County. It is set up as an "alliance" because the goals is to harness the collective power of many different community coalitions and organizations.

SCQLA provides a way to foster collaboration, focused on improving health and quality of life, through systematic information of community health needs impacting the population.

History

The mission of the Story County Quality of Life Alliance (SCQLA) is to promote health and quality of life across Story County through assessment and collaboration.

The purpose of SCQLA is to ensure the regular assessment of the health needs in our community through data collection/aggregation, and perpetuate this knowledge through organized and systematic sharing with community institutions at-large.

The alliance is well-positioned to identify a variety of health and human service needs. Currently, the alliance invests a majority of its time in the collaborative production of a Community Health Needs Assessment (every 5 years) and the subsequent Health Improvement Plans developed to address those specific needs.
